Nora, thanks for the shout out! Yes to every cookbook, I made granola bars from Good to the Grain, I am still perfecting them (recipe to come!). Also tried Oat Cakes and Carnival Cookies from Heidi's blog...Big news for you and Alexa, a veggie curry in my pressure cooker- best thing I've made in a REALLY long time...You just might need to come out here to taste test with me!
The conversations were cleansing for me too. Good point Nora, love the post!

1. i am a flavor whore, too. my bf laughs bc we are always buying spices bc i dont measure them, i just pour them in. literally. pour. "dash of this, dash of that." no way: i pour. speaking of, i should go outside in the market and buy some spices to take home, hooray!

2. i would eat dirt if it had avocado in it too. avocado is good on everything. i put it on EVERYTHING. and i just made quinn some sort of breakfast for her birthday weekend that had swt pot mush, avocado, eggs, lime-cured onions, and some other stuff. i dont write down recipes. but it was good... anyway, i think we have similar eating desires.

Girl, if you hadn't had wine with those fabulous women or hadn't devoured delicious breakfast pastries over a meaningful breakfast, then you cleanse would have taken you to an unnecessary extreme. Being there in SF, with wonderful people, doing wonderful things is exactly what your body, mind, and soul needed. There is no shame in that and no reason to feel guilty and I'm so glad you're not!

dude. I am SO inspired by your cleanse and have been reading your posts as you write them. A question, what made you choose this specific cleanse over the many others touted in the health world? e.g. a juice cleanse, garlic-pepper-maple syrup cleanse, raw food cleanse, etc. Super curious. Tried the garlic-pepper-syrup (honey) cleanse once and didn't make it past the 12th hour, and was practically sleeping the whole day to boot. Also how much more/less money do you think you've spent on food this week as opposed to a normal week? Cheers love! Good luck with the rest!

eh, i don't know. i think it is relatively easy to score high on that test, but maybe i'm just hoping that is so because i definitely stopped counting once i got to 20+. a lot of them are either genetic (dark circles under the eyes and acne, both of which i am sadly plagued with) or, with the mental things for instance, are what i'd like to call "lumped" disorders. like, if you are "feeling agitated or nervous", you're definitely going to have "unexplained feelings of anxiety or sadness" and "excessive anger or irritability" because, duh, you are feeling agitated or nervous! haha. so already you've scored 3 points. same goes for "difficulty understanding new concepts", feeling "mentally sluggish", and "difficulty making decisions": those are all going to go together. needless to say, i scored MOST of my points in that category. hahah. my point is, fine to detox, but don't take too seriously that you scored so high: the test is built for everyone to fail, me thinks. xo
